Last 2 Months Meetings
This is hardly the best way to start out the new year, or introduce
new members to our club but for those of you not on the profs
email system, I can only say that my PC hasn't worked properly
since about Jan. 2, I lost a hard drive and then had several hardware
problems. Enough excuses from the editor, lets get a move on!
Decembers meeting was a very exciting one as we met at the Berkley front a week before Christmas. We met in the upper room, even though it wasn't finished yet, the North end of the 2nd floor was surrounded by windows offering a nice backdrop for our meeting. There were several new members that night (20 people in total!) that showed up to see what we were about and hopefully we'll see then again! The meeting was intentionally casual as this was our last meeting of the year. Neal brought in some Kolsch bier from Cologne, Germany where he spent a couple days on business. Kolsh is a unique style thats a cross between an ale and a lager.
The Ye Olde Brew News is the monthly publication of the Fermental Order of Renaissance Draughtsman, otherwise known as the Fermentals. The club meets once a month on the 4th Wednesday at 6:00 at the Traffic Jam & Snug brewpub in Detroit, unless a special meeting is to be held elsewhere. Our fiscal year begins Jan 1st and dues are set at $25 a year for new members, and $15 a year there after, members joining after July 1st pay $17.50 for the 1st year. Joint memberships (same household only) are $40 the first year, and $20 there after.
